Withdrawing

Withdrawing from your ISA

For security reasons, we normally pay funds back to where they were originally received from.

You can withdraw money from your ISA to your nominated bank or building society account free of charge using BACS. It usually takes three business days for the funds to reach your bank or building society account.

To withdraw less than £10,000 you can call our Customer Service team or email us with your instruction. If you would like to withdraw more than £10,000 you need to let us have your instructions in writing with a signature.

If we do not have your nominated bank details we will send you a cheque. This can only be made payable to you and can only be sent to the address we have for you. There is a £5.00 administration charge for the issue of a cheque.

Your ISA allowance

If you choose to withdraw part or all of your subscription for the current tax year, this amount cannot be put back in to your ISA later in the tax year. So, for example, if you have subscribed £5,000 and then withdraw £2,000 you can still only subscribe a further £5,200.
